1. What this notice covers
This notice describes how data is handled on the Diner website at dinerapp.co. It does not cover Quentin, the chat assistant that restaurants add to their own menus. Each restaurant provides its own privacy notice for that chat, shown from the restaurant's menu, because the restaurant decides what appears on its menu and Diner runs the chat on the restaurant's behalf.
2. Who is responsible
This website is operated by Diner. For any question about privacy, or to exercise your rights, contact us at diner.noza@gmail.com.
3. What this website collects
Nothing that you actively provide, unless you choose to email us. The site has no sign-up, no login and no forms. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any comparable tracking, and we do not sell or share personal data, because we do not gather it here.
4. Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own, and we use no cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking. If our hosting provider runs an automated security check to protect the site from abuse, it may place a single strictly necessary cookie for that purpose only.
5. Technical data and the services we rely on
To deliver the site, a small amount of ordinary technical data is processed by the services below, as happens with essentially every website:
- Hosting and delivery (Cloudflare). The site is served through Cloudflare. As our host, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, in order to serve the pages and keep the site secure. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Fonts (Google Fonts). The site displays typefaces from Google Fonts. To show them, your browser fetches the font files directly from Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. See Google's privacy policy.
6. If you email us
If you write to us, for example through the "Talk to us" or "Contact us" links, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to reply and to discuss Diner with you. Our email is hosted by Google (Gmail). We will not add you to any marketing list.
7. When you open the live demo
The "See the live demo" button takes you to our product at menu.dinerapp.co, which is a separate site. There, Quentin answers questions you type about a sample restaurant's menu. How the questions you type are handled is described in that restaurant's own privacy notice, reachable from its menu.
8. Where data is processed
Diner serves restaurants in France and Lebanon. Some of the providers above (Cloudflare and Google) are based in the United States and may process technical data outside your country under recognised safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy framework.
9. Your rights
Where the GDPR or your local law applies, you can ask what data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Write to diner.noza@gmail.com. If you are in the EU and believe your data has been mishandled, you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in France this is the CNIL.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the site or the services it relies on change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
